cv joint repair

i believe i need to replace my cv joints on both sides. they are squeaking pretty bad. i dont think the boots are torn. does anyone know what it would cost to have someone do the work? or how hard is it to do it yourself?

forgot to mention, its a 99 GC with the 4.0

Its not a horrible procedure. I did it on my 98 GC. Takes about 1.5 hours per side. Replace the boots anyway though.
