Different Bell Housing Between AX-15 and BA10/5

Hey so i know that they make a 21 spline AX-15, which I am assuming is the 88-91 rebuilt AX-15c (found on tellico4x4.com). My BA10/5 is shot as I said on previous post. instead of rebuilding the POS BA10/5 I want to swap in the AX-15 and can get the trans for 1100 but wanna know if i will need a new bell housing? etc.

I think you info on that AX-15 is wrong. Never knew of a 21 spliner, neither does Novak or Advance Adapters.

yeah thats what i thought before but i remember reading somewhere that they did have a 21 spline but i guess not...so is there just a new gear for th transfer case or is it a new transfer case too

You can make a transfer case fit different model trannies by simply changing the transfer case input gear. It requires disassembly of the transfer case to change, but isn't too hard. I've got an assortment of input shafts, I may have what you need. Also can help with advice if you're doing the transfer case work yourself.

As to your first question, if I remember correctly, you will need the bellhousing too.
