There is an article in the August 1999 4-Wheel and Off-road for swapping a 4.0 into a '86 CJ-7.

In the same magazine there is an article for retrofitting fuel injection on to the 258.

If I had a scanner,I would scan it for you.[addsig]

All you need to do is drop her in, and buy relocation adapator for the CPS sensor. I know Hesco sells the adaptor and harness and computer for your application. Also, the sensor in the exhaust would be needed, but just grab that from your donor as well.

All 6 & 8 AMC motors share the same bolt pattern, so mounting up to the transmission shouldnt be a prob. Its been done, ALOT, so I know someone can offer you more detailed info on this.

If you check the forum, and do some searches on the web for 4.0 Swaps, you will come across a ton of info.

Hope this helps.
