Engine using oil

I've got a 2000 Grand Cher 4.7 liter V-8, with 137,000 miles, maintained to the max since new. Noticed recently that it is using about one half quart of oil per week or so, its not leaking either. Have been told its either valve seals or rings. Anybody else have this problem?

yes i do too but i used some lucas oil and a oil additive called TX7 you can get it at Jiffylube and now i burn no oil at all...i was burning about 1 qt a week
