Exhaust System advice

I am looking to replace my factory muffler and pipes for a meatier sound and maybe a little performance. I have seen the many Cat-Back systems by Banks, Borla, etc. Is it worth these systems or is it better to look at a flowmater replacement. Thanks for the advise??????????????
