Frustrating rear rotor

Hey guys
I am trying to replace the rear rotor on my 94GrandCherokee. The front rotor just pops off, but I can't get the rear one off, not even close. The caliper is no problem. The book mentions that some models have push nuts(?) that secure the rotor to the wheel studs. It says to remove and discard them. All I see are three round headed bolts on the back of the rotor shield, and I can't get a wrench or socket on them anyway.
Any ideas other than bash the heck out of it with a hammer?! Thanks in advance
Aaron

The push nuts they refer to is just thin sheetmetal washers. They kinda resemble a lockwasher and they are just pushed onto the wheel studs to hold the rotor on. Usually a set a needlenose pliers works well to get them off. Examine your wheel studs for these also brake dust buildup may be holding it on so try using a deadblow or rubber mallot to break it loose. Another possibilty is your E brake drum part of it may be holding it on.

I would agree with this. there are brake shoes for the E brake (stupid design) - i'd look at that first.
