Fuel Problem???????

Having a fuel problem, not sure what it is. I fill up and can go about 150 miles and my jeep starts sputtering like it is running out of gas. Gas gauge says over quarter of a tank. I fill it up again and it drives fine. Been doing this about two months. Can my fuel pump be going out, junk in the tank, Im putting about 9 gallons in to fill up and go again. Thanks

What Jeep do you have? If it is a YJ, you can do a mod that will allow your tank to hold a lot more fuel. I got myine to hold 20 GALLONS!! You are suppose to be holding about 15 gallons.-al

95 YJ 4 cyl Im starting with 15 gallons, Im just not getting to use it. Am interrested in getting it to hold 20 gallons.

Well, basically yo need to remove a plastic pipe inside the vent pipe, and that will allow you to use the tanks full capasity (20 gallons), It can be done with yours. I will look for the writeup, and post a link for you in a few minutes.
