Fuel Tank Woes

Bad, bad day. I was pulling out of the parking lot, and shifted to 2nd around the turn, and suddenly run over the bottom bar of the front bumper.. I completely ran over it, like an idiot :x. Then I turned around to pick up the bar, and when I pulled into a parking lot to make sure i hadn't damaged anything under the jeep, i smelled gas. So i brought it to the Penzoil across the street, and they said I might have broken a hose from the fuel pump (the leak was coming from on top of the tank), or cracked the upper part of the tank. Can I have y'alls opinion on what happened to the tank? I think the bar was connected by 2 bolts and nuts, but i think the vibration couldve loosened them...

This shows how the front bumper, or guard, used to be.

As you can see the bottom bar is now gone...

This is where the mounting holes lined up, it seems like it was just two long bolts that would hold the bottom bar, at least thats how it looks to me.

It's a little wet with gas, started to dry since i got it home.

Is that kind of a skid plate for the tank?

I can take more pictures if you guys need to see something else...

Thanks,
Dylan

Yes it is a skid plate. The tank is mounted to the skid plate and then the skid plate is mounted to the Jeep.

What type of bumper do you have?
I never heard of the tubes falling off.

I don't know, it's an after market, I'll look tomorrow morning, see if there are any markings. I'll take more pictures tomorrow, maybe someone could help me identify it.
