I have a couple of Jerry cans with mounts I want to put on my cj somewhere. There is no room on the rear, where I usually see them, because of the spare. Any ideas on where else to mount them? I thought right behind the front wheels on the side of the jeep would be ok but I wonder if the Mississippi is coming out too strong in me??? Be honest...I can take it.

Mount them on the fender well next to the roll bar, behind the seat. That's the only way you can carry them without a rear rack. Just don't smoke.
I decided to mount them behind the spare by extending the swing mount out some and weld the can holder to that so they swing out with the spare. I think this will look better even in Mississippi. sometime southern enginneering just takes a little longer to think out under the shade tree. thanks for the input.
