Hard Top Question?

selling jeep

I have a 2002 Sahara and I do not use my hardtop it has been stored in he garage and now in the yard in a cover so I was planning on selling it. Today I got a call from a friend who has a friend that wants to buy mine, does anyone know if the 2002 hardtop will fit a 2003? Also, I had my hardtop on for about 2 weeks, but i'm not sure how much to ask for it, does anyone have any idea? It only has 2 scratches on it from being moved.

What it doesnt get cold in New Jersey? yes it fits, jeep didnt change anything this year. New they are 1600 but you never get what you pay for it. I would try to get 1200-1300 but dont let it go for less than a grand. Nice jeep by the way.

I would let him check it forst. ONE thing that is for Certian, THE HEADER is Different. Supposidly you can't use even a header Channel of a 97-2002 TJ without Moding the 2003. I say let the dewd wear it before he pays for it. but take his keys before he puts it on .

check ebay and see what the going rate for one in the same condition/year, and then add a little$$$.

According to the local parts man at my dealership (thanks frank) The hard tops are interchangable so are the soft tops, the reason for the different headers is cause the 03's have a plastic pannel on the interior around the windshield that was not previously there, so the 03 header bars have different screw holes. This is according to the jeep dealership in my area, Frank knows his shit so I would believe this to be true

I just called the dealer again and spoke to someone else and they said no they are NOT interchangeable they have different numbers.........

the dealer is full of it. it will fit, and you should be glad to get rid of it for $1000.oo at that price he should have no gripes.....one platic piece is not going to make it completely unmatched

Don't worry about the part numbers. Just let the guy know that you are pretty sure that it will fit. Have him come by and try it on. When he falls in love with it, finalize the deal. Do not let it go for less that $1,000. -Al

Well he came by last night to look at it and I had told him $1300 and he said okay. I told him if you want make me an offer so i'll know tonight if he is gonna take it and if he is he is going to pick it up on Saturday!!! Thanks guys for all your input.
