i dont know how much better the hard top is but i have a soft top and it gets toasty warm in there

It dose not get that cold. i live in Warner Robins Ga, plus in the summer i want something easy and quick to take on and off. plus i have no where to store the hard top when i hae it off.

i dunno tug - Herculiner is a pretty expensive "paint". like 70$ a gallon. gotta decide if its worth it when one of its main purposes ( so ive heard) is to protect against rust and things like that. I know it looks bad@$$ and all but most hard tops are already textured, could easily get away using regular paint, even spray paint. save a few bucks

The half door uppers will need the rounded rear corners, and I've never seen them. Check Bestop and see if they have something that will work with the hardtop, or the supertop as it requires rounded door uppers or full steel doors.

i will trade you a softop for ur hardtop and give u a little extra money. do u have the full steel doors too? what else do u need for it? i have a 87 also.

I have a factory soft top. Black, complete (all hardware), and in excellent condition. It is tight. Email: H.G.Gardner@verizon.net . I also have the soft upper doors and a set of upper doors w/ glass sliding windows. I was planning on putting them on eBay, but you could save me the trouble.
