and unfortunately, there is no write up. my jeep was wired for factory fog lights and they were just not on the jeep when i bought it. i went to walmart yesterday and bought some black ones i had seen on a few other wranglers because they looked good. they are the afterburner round tractor lights that have the black rubber looking case. they look fine on my jeep too.

i am going to have to find the relay that controls the lights because they only come on when the headlights are on and that is annoying. i know you can run a jumper wire across two of the arms on the bottom of the relay to allow you to use them when you flip the switch because i did my bmw the same way. once i get around to doing the mod, i will post pics

here is a shot with the lights off

and, since i didn;t have the proper connector, i had to make my own. then they are tucked into the round tube under the plastic cover behind the bumper so they are out of the rain

Hey Jason...I assume they are halogen..what is the wattage output (55w, 100w...)? Are they true fog lights or driving lights? How much were they? Have you used them at night yet? Any noticeable difference? I know...way too many questions...sorry.

They look good on your YJ!

i think they are just driving lights. i just wanted something to light up the side of hte road on base in the morning because its so dark and i have a hard time seeing the joggers on the side of hte golf course.

they are not halogen, i think they are something like 55 or 35, i will have to look

i haven;t gotten to try them at night either. i will this evening though

Your windshield looks like it has a bullet hole right above the passenger side wiper. Upon zooming in, I saw it was the passenger seat belt buckle. Just thought I would share this piece of observation with you.

ha ha ha, i never noticed.

ok, these are not bright lights, at all. they do fill in the dark area on the side of the road though. i would say that besides looking cool, they are not worth the money/time to put on your jeep if you are not already wired for fog lights.

i think they are about to become reverse fog lights. they really really suck as any type of forward facing light. i got to really try them out on a dark road with no other traffic right now, horrible. i could hardly tell they were on

I have the same on my Jeep but I replaced the bulbs with 100 watt ones. I get them at Napa Part number 4509. You will notice a big difference
