Intermediate steering shaft?

I need to get a new shaft. Guy on eBay selling on says that his shaft is from a vehicle that had Power Steering & will not work on a vehicle w/o Power Steering?
Is this true? There's a difference in this shaft?

Gee, I wish somebody knew about these things - I;d hate to buy it only to find out it won't work etc..................
