I got a new timing set from O'Reilly's just to be safe with all the other new and improved stuff I'm putting in. Good news is the cloyes kit I got (just stock kit, nothing high performance) looks to be much much much better built than the one I pulled off of the Jeep . . . BUT, the camshaft sprocket is thicker than the one I pulled off of the Jeep so the timing cover will not bolt on. Has anybody else had this problem? I checked the new cam against the old one already and they are the exact same length so that's not the issue. I'm waiting on O'Reilly's to see if they miss-boxed the kit or something, maybe I got a 4.0 kit? I really have no idea. Any help y'all could give me here would be great, thanks a lot, havea good one.
