anti lock brake question

I really want to put a K&N filter on my jeep, as in delete the airbox and shove on a K&N filter. Anybody done this? And if so, what part #? The ones I've seen are about 4" or 5" dia. and about 8" long. thanks

If you get the kind that just sticks out there in the open, be carefull if you plan on doing a lot of off roading (it gets dirty and plugged fast).

if you do that... many companies sell a good kit to seal it away from mud.. the hood closes over the top of a formed box to keep it in its own compartment... if you are going to go cone, you will want a spash shield... if not... you are better off putting a stock replacement K&N drop in for the airbox

I just put that on my jeep ... works great ... I got the setup from rusty's offroad for about $80 .. the bracket was 25-30 and the 6x9 filter was about 50 ... I sealed up all the holes in the wheel wells with some gasket seal and even the shock holes that where the most dirt gets in ... now my engine compartment stays cleaner longer .... without having to pay 200 for a k&n with a splash shield
