I just finished a hellish week of installing a 3.5" fabtech lift on my 89 yj. It took more time than I can to count. The problem now is when I went for a test drive I realized my stick shift lever is off a little in all gears, however reverse will not engage at all. When i shift to reverse iand let out the clutch grinds like it is not all the way in gear. I have a feeling it has to do with the transmission lowering kit. Has anyone had this problem? Any easy solutions? I will have to wait till after work to see what I can do.

Pull up your shifter boot, you may have to trim some. The problem is the shifter is making contact with the shifter boot before it goes all the way into gear because off the new position of the transmission relative to the transmission tunnel hole. If you can take the boot off and it works, just trim the boot. If it is still not working you may have to trim the tub a tiny bit. If you have a body lift in conjunction with the tcase drop, it will exaggerate the problem even more.
