Loud cracking when turning.

When turning my steering wheel in motion or not there is a lot of crackling and popping. I've gone under when someone turns the wheel and don't see anything. Seems like it's coming from above anything I can see. I have put a high steer kit which came with a new drag link and tie rod nothing is popping with those. Any ideas? It seems anytime I fix one thing something goes. 😑

Front axel ujoints?
Brake calipers or pads loose?
Have you checked the control arms, wheel bearings or ball joints?
Warn out sway bar disco?

I did loose a bracket for the drivers side brakes while changing the wheel bearing. And it wasn't til after that that the noises started. So that can be all that is causing popping the entire turn?

K I'll get that tomorrow and give you an update. Just changed the control arms finally away from the stock so that kind of got rid of a little crackling but there still is some there.

So it turned out to be because the guy that put the high steer kit in didn't weld the bracket that the frame brace and track bar go into on the driver side. I had him weld it and it stopped making noises.

I wouldn't have guessed that. Glad you got it fixed.
