Hey,
I've been posting a lot about engines so here's some more questions. I'm looking for a 4.8 or a 5.3 liter engine. Leaning toward a 4.8L. Now I was thinking of a LY2 in my TJ.
Any thoughts or should I just keep the 4.0?

I know I really don't need one but some people do swap an engine. I might go to bigger tires later and it will be driven on the road.

Please don't quote the I don't need it part and start trashin me because i might be getting something I don't need (right now)

Thanks,
Tom

It depends on what you want to do. If your just wanting a little more power just add some mods to the 4.0, example , cold air intake, header, high flow exhaust, and more, but if you have the time, money and lots of patience. then I would recommend the LY2 4.8 . If your wanting OMG power at lowest price, then do a 6.0

Im 2/3 way through a 4.8 LY2 in my 97 TJ now. here is apic or two of my progress
