neesome help with my 2.5

i have a 1990 wrangler with the 2.5 5 speed with a drivability problem. it idles fine, but when you go to pull out it stumbles. i replaced the cap, rotor, plug wire and plugs. i noticed a slight change but still not good. when i pulled the plugs, they had a lot of carbon on them. checked feul preasure and it is good. checked timing and timing is running at 12 degrees BTDC. not sure what timing should be, and timing is non adjustable. any ideas. thanks mike
could it be a weak ignition coil?

what do you mean when you go to pull it out it stumbles? Is it stalling, choking, or just idling funny? If you have a bunch of carbon build up on your plugs then you are running rich, but it doesn't sound like thats your problem.

when i say stumble, i mean that it wants to cut out and stall

Try cleaning your throttle body as well.

Did you check your fuel pressure with and without vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator?

i already cleaned the throttle body, and i already checked feul preasure with vacume and it has 15lbs. but what would cause the black smoke. is it too much feul?

Sounds like its running rich. Possibly a sensor problem

could be a air fual mix maybe your o2 sensor

My 97 did something like that. ended up being the MAP sensor

try checking the coolant temp sensor
