Detroit, Mich. - January 5, 2003 - The Jeep® brand used the 2003 North American International Auto Show to debut the limited-production line of ‘Freedom Edition’ Jeep Wrangler, Liberty and Grand Cherokee vehicles with unique exterior features and popular options.

"We started with the most award-winning brand of 4x4s to create the Freedom Edition Grand Cherokee, Liberty and Wrangler," said Jeff Bell, Vice President, Jeep Marketing Division, DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "And capability is just the beginning of the story. Only from behind the wheel of a capable Jeep can you experience the joy that comes with the freedom to go-anywhere and do-anything. That feeling is what inspired this new line of vehicles, with their rugged looks and versatile features."

A version of the Freedom Edition Jeep line will also be available outside the United States as the Rocky Mountain Edition in Canada, and the Red River edition outside North America.
