Hi, Just bought myself a nice clean 96 4.0 Limited. I love it already, despite the fuel consumption!

Got a couple of questions though - hope someone can help.

On the top of the rocker cover, nearest the front there is a pipe that runs from the rocker cover to the airbox? the seal appears to be leaking slightly - is this normal - can it be fixed or is a new part required?

On the rear axle, looking from the back, the centre looks as if there is a fluid leak - is this normal too, or is there something I can check tighten?

One last question - how do you move the roof rails? I pressed in the buttons on the side but they don't want to go anywhere!!

Thanks in adavnce!

Call and ask the parts guys at the jeep dealership. I have a 93 and I needed to replace the rear CCV, it was blowing oil into the airbox. Someone on another site suggested a "kit" that can be bought, it was going to run about $20. I went over to the parts counter and he guy told me all I needed to replce was the valve itself (it was about $5). So deffinately call the dealer parts guys and ask.

As for the axle, are talking about the brake hardware, the diff cover, or the actual axel itself. Can this leak be seen with the rim on? It is safe to say that nothing is really supposed to leak.

For the rack, I'd wrap a towel around it (the actual locking piece) and shoot a little WD40 on it/ in it. Be sure not to get that stuff on the paint. After that, just work at it for a bit. They shouuld break loose after awhile.[addsig]
