RE: Dont buy gas on september 3rd!

I have just bought my son a 88 Wrangler and we are new to jeeps so any help will be great! Our Jeep has a lift kit and a body lift. Not sure how much its been lifted. The gear shifter is the stock one and the previous owner straightened it to get it to work. Where can I find a replacement that will work with the lift it has. It also idles rough and falls on its face from a start? The motor is a newer Jasper In-line 6 and the carb is stock but fairly new. Any help would be great!

RE: Holy fender overkill Batman!!

tire size? clearance from tire to top of fender opening? markings on springs? shackles stock? if not how long? that info can help everyone here compare and help... you can measure the pucks on the B/L to figure that... a stock shift lever can work if you clearance the floor pan opening or a search may net some good results...
welcom to Jeepz... great place to read and post... friendly and very tolerant of repeat and novice (read: self considered "stupid") questions... there are actually no stupid questions... except the one you dont ask!
g'luck! and have fun!

The factory Carter carb is most likely the cause of the engine trouble. Even if it isn't, tuning that thing is going to be a real pain in the butt and even in good condition, they still suck.

Take some measurements and post a pic......we'll figure out that lift.
