Those old cars were pretty capable rigs. However, Like any promotional film. They're only going to show you what they want you to see.

Authentic film. How could you fake that? Edited for sure. Dodge trying to sell cars? Oil wells? Showing bad roads? If there had been no bottom under that mud, they'ed been stuck real good.
