Has anyone removed a fuseblock in a xj? I need to know if the wires are Connected to it via connecters? Or are they all connected with solder? In other words can I remove the fuse block from the harness just by unlpuging a connector? And the bolts ofcourse.. Thanx for any help...

If i remember correctly, it's a 2 piece fuse block assembly. The rear of the fuse block has a modular connector that's held by a bolt in the middle. I could be wrong since it's been a while i saw one apart.

I think it depends on the year. There is a firewall bulkhead connector on the Jeeps I have worked on, with a few wires to the fuse box and the rest going to the harness.

I've seen quite a few in the junk yard and I believe most of them are two piece units. The main piece screws to the firewall then the piece that's in the engine bay has a bolt that goes through the middle which attaches it to the main part.
