D drewbaby New member Jan 28, 2010 #1 When I turn sharply in four wheel drive there is a loud popping noise coming from the front axle area. I had another jeep wrangler that did this also, not too sure if it's supposed to do this or not. Thanks for any input.

Team Twisted Off Road New member Jan 28, 2010 #2 Look at the axle shaft universal joints see if there bad? and the drive shaft universal joints... If there ok then it may be in the differential..

xjmarc New member Jan 28, 2010 #3 Dumb question but do you have a locker in the front axle. Also if it's a TJ check the track bar mine has a habit of loosing itself up and pops.
