Procomp Xterrains

The time has come to get some new tires. I saw a buy 3 get 1 free procomp deal that looks great. The ones im lookin at are the xterrains, and I don't have any experience w/ these. How long do they last and what are they're on and off road characteristics? I'm gonna be driving to college this summer which is about 200-250 miles away and want to know how these things will hold up with occassional commutes to home and school. The wheelin I'm gonna be doin up there will be some mud and some rocks. Anyone have these on their rig, and how do ya like em?

That is a good deal.My friend went for that deal only he got the MT.He said that they last for a long time.Much longer than the MTR.Taking a good look at them, they are a tough looking tire and are kinda hard.Which is good if you want long life.

If you must buy Pro comp get their MT. Don't waste your money on the quick-wearing, over-priced, marginal-in-the-mud Xterrains.

As far as the tires, I would also say get the MT. I was thinking about going with that deal and getting the XTerrain's, but everyone I talked to said not to get them unless you just want them for the looks. This is also what all my friends at tire places were tellin me.

If you run a lot of dirt, like I do, they rule. I've used goodyear MTR's, BFG muds, and these are great.. They've lasted me quite awhile, wear on my tires after one year (it's a daily driver) have been great. The ONLY drawback that I have seen is that they are a directional tire. The road manners are pretty good.

BUT, next I'll probably end up getting the Muds from hi tech retreads that Bounty Hunter introduced to me. They are just so darn cheap!!

If Hi Tec ever comes out with a 35 or 38 I am going to try a set of em, I have heard good things about them

My Xterrains have lasted me 20000 miles with very little wear. And I'm a bastard to them.
