Hi everyone,
I am a newbie here and I just got a blown motor 2007 WK 3.7. Currently, I need to find an engine to replace it. I found a good deal from 2002 Liberty 3.7 V6, which has a blown gasket that I am going to rebuild.
May I know what are the precautions I should consider when putting an older engine like the 02 Liberty into a newer vehicle like WK? Is there any difference in mechanical parts (like sprocket or lifter) between these 2 engines I mentioned above? Do I have to reprogram the PCM upon using this 02 engine?
On the other hand, I would like to expand my search on which model in the Dodge/Jeep products are compatible with the 3.7 in this WK.
I apologize for the long questions and I really appreciate everyone's input as this is my first engine rebuilt.
