Quadratec winch

Has anybody bought or know someone who has purchased one of Quadratec's winches? I usually stand by the term "you get what you pay for", but is this unit just as good as a Warn or Ramsey winch? I have seen several older Jeeps using a cheap no name winch and never have an issue with it no matter what they put it through. A winch is my next big add on purchase and I wouldn't mind saving a few $$$ to put toward something else.

I haven't found any reviews on their winch and I don't really trust the fact Quadratec provides because at the end of the day they are promoting their product for sale.

I plan on doing some moderate wheeling with my rig and wan't the winch as that safety net when I get stuck and I'm all alone. What would you all suggest?

I havent heard a whole lot but I feel like what I heard was good... I know that doesn't help much. If you want quality get a Warn but I'm sure quadratec is also pretty good. They also have okay customer service as opposed to some companys' awful service.

I think when it comes down to it a winch is a winch.

I have heard really good things about them. It is a winch they they designed from the ground up to be a quality product for the price. I may go with one when the time comes.

Our winch isn't a rebranded model nor a knock off of another winch company. It was specially designed in-house, here at our facility. As far as the Quadratec winch vs Warn winch goes, we are not marketing this to compete against their top of the line winches. This is an entry level winch for the weekend warrior, that just happens to be one of the best made on the market for it's specified use. It also has one of the best warranties backing it.

Anyone that wants to purchase something different has every right to do so! I wouldn't argue or tell you to purchase anything differently than what you wanted to spend your hard-earned money on.

Wow, I like the fact they are direct to the point which is really hard to find these days. I think I just found a winch for my Jeep application plus I just got their catilog yesterday and it now comes in black. Thanks for the info South TJ.
