Hi. Running a 96 Grand 4.0 with 220,000 and counting.
Had my radiator rupture at upper passenger side 5 months ago. Replaced it along with water pump and thermostat at same time. The other day the new radiator ruptures again in the same area. Covered under warranty. Coolant and oil appear visually okay prior to blow out.
Two questions. Did I have just get a faulty unit 1st time around or could there be another problem shortening the life of the radiators? Corrosives inside the block shortening the life perhaps?
I can understand the rad running hotter on top but why would they both blow out on passenger side corner?
Thanks much.
