Reason NOT to use uhaul trailer adapter

This module started a chainreaction of electrical shorts and fires throughout my entire jeep. Thank God I carry a fire extinguisher with me all of the time. I was able to save the jeep and repair most of the damage. Now I am just waiting for uhaul to pay for an alternator and battery as they are the only parts that I didn't already have from my other jeep.

Bummer....did you have U-Haul install it or did you buy it from them & install it yourself? Have they agreed to replace the parts or are they claiming is not their fault?

They did the install and I have already been in contact with their insurance company.
