Recalls on my 90 YJ

Just got notified from Dealer that my 90 YJ has been recalled for the two items below.

347T BRAKE HOSE 87-90 YJ SAFETY 02/19/1993 INCOMPLETE

648 CHOKE/PCV HARNESS RESET IDLE(S/L) FED EMIS 01/05/1996 INCOMPLETE

Everyone knows that no Jeep is kept stock. My YJ has a Webber Carb, ignition upgrades, small mods here and there, and emissions messed with (the cats is still on of course). I know these are not "Dealer Parts" and with them on, I don't know if I'm bending any NJ laws.
Would this cause a problem if I brought it into the dealership?
Should I even bother bringing it in?
 

It's up to you. The brake hose thing... they just re-locate your hose so that the engine bay "mudflap" inside the wheel well doesn't cut your hose. If you lift you jeep, you'll be relocating or installing steel lines anyways.

As for the PCV valve thing... not sure what that's about, but if you feel you're jeep is running good, don't mess with it. Especially the 4.2. Leave it alone.

It's kinda like pickin a scab... on one hand the scab is gross looking so you remove it, but on the other, it makes things worse. Sorry for the gross analogy. huh huh, he said anal.

I just got the recall notice too for my 92 YJ. Actually my e-brake is toast right now, so it's kinda good timing.

yeah my e-brake only stops my car from rolling forward. it can roll backwards ALL it wants. i had an appointment for the recall but the dealer had to order parts. he has them in now, but havent had time to go. Def will need to before i get my remote starter..
 

I knew mine was going, then I parked in my driveway, not in gear, all of sudden I was hey.. this isn't right... I'm moving! Yeah, you may wanna get that fixed before you get that starter, lol, that wouldn't be pretty.. I still need to make my appointment, between school and work it's hard to find time.

jeepin916, my brother has a 97 TJ, I haven't heard of any recalls for the it.
 
I think only 4 bangers should be recalled...

Those rim would cost more than the $$$ value of my jeep... Of course they'd be great to have on... However the Firestones I'm not too hot on... I have Yoko's on mine and they're excellent on my ORV

Caliyjgirl... NYC surprising is not the place to be during New Years unless you have a decent party... Most of the good bars/clubs will require you to get tickets in advance... If you're from SoCal, stick with the Lower East Side near NYU... there's always some debauchery going on there

Thanks for the info, I like the wheels, something to save up for after New York. Oh yeah, I'm the guilty party re: hijacking the thread, oops sorry!
Back to the subject, I'm gonna try to get my jeep in this weekend for the e-brake. At least it's free, I wonder if they're gonna try to scam me, lol, that'll be funny. I'll let you know how it turns out.

richsia Really! I'm just excited to go, I've never been to the East Coast. I'm down in SoCal often, but I live in NorCal almost central, about 45 minutes South of Sacramento. I'm gonna be such a tourist.. Ha!
