Sunday i went with my buddy eugene to Harry’s Pick And Pull, somewhere between New Jersey and Ohio... (in the boonies of PA) and what a time we had. it was a special day... 20 bucks to get in the gate, and every part was 99 cents. there were about 8 old (like, my generation) cherokees and comanchees there. there were also 2 CJ's (i don't know anything about them except they were totally raped for anything and all was left was the rusty tub/frame.

i picked up a roof rack (factory load bars, for some reason mine were missing) from a 92 laredo, and the little snake light that also wasn’t under my hood from some other jep. this light is pretty cool, and i think i’m gonna have to find out where it was plugged in before. does anyone know if it already has a hood-activated switch?

or i’ll just get a gator clip and clip it to the battery when i want it on. either works. i’ll eventually have to rig up a hood switch for my alarm, but i’ll address that when the time comes.

i also bought a coolant overflow bottle and some interior pieces to sell on EGAY... if anyone wants it you'd better claim it

ah yes, and another question... i also picked up a gear selector thingy (for the auto transmission'd cars) that tells you park, reverse, neutral, drive, 3-2, 1, etc... and in order to get it out of the donor car, i just kinda busted the top off the shifter with a crow bar. what's the correct way of removing the top (where you use your right thumb to push in the button to change selections)?[addsig]

You can pop the selctor up, then loosen the console. Then as you lift the console rotate the selector down and around so that it slides through the opening for the shifter. Once the console is out you can dissconnect the shifter and remove it.

If you just want the selector, you can do the same and take it off from the botom of the handle.[addsig]

the gear selector thingy was a dollar! haha... gotta love the junkyard... the LTD is great! the interior is all torn apart currently while i wire up my remote start/keyless entry/alarm system. when i'm done that, its gotta get its lift installed.[addsig]
