Just be careful of 1 using a bypass type of system so it can't starve the trans even if it becomes completely blocked. They really do not need to be filtered like engine oil does. Look at the stock filter it is fairly coarse and they will last for a long time like that with proper oil changes. 2 Make certain of the flow you do not want to restrict the flow at all otherwise it will do much more damage than good, same goes for coolers.
