Running Ruff No Power 4.0l ??

Washed the greasy 4.0l now it has a miss and hardly any power. Note I did check the distributor cap, it dry plus I washed it 2 days ago. Any ideas? Did clean the idle air control valve. Note also it will idle smooth until you rev it up.

I only have first hand experience with my YJ w/ a 4.2.... But I have come to the conclusion that vacuum lines & pcv's are the root of all jeep evil.... ;-)

What did you use to clean the IAC valve?

Sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor).

Took it off and cleaned it with carb cleaner. I had this problem on my 93 YJ but can't remember what I did to fix it. I have 6 jeeps so I can borrow parts to figure out what's bad.

The throttle body sensors are very sensitive to carb cleaner. You can clean the IAC housing with it but not the IAC solenoid. I'd look at the IAC or TPS.
