so my buddy who has a massive jeep needs a d30... heres the story, he was visiting his gf at her work. Went to leave and he hit the gas and his tcase locked up on him...spun him into a concrete light post. He hit the light post so hard with his tire he cracked it. In teh process he essentially destroyed his dana 30 and np231. if you saw this jeep you would be in aw. It has re 7.5" springs 3" bl 37"mtrs dana 60 w/4.56s and a detroit front 4.56s also duh...whole rear is diamond plated and to top it off all of his "accents are neon green" Now you may laugh but its not just a show jeep...his jeep is pushin 300 hp and close to 340 in the ft lbs section lol it can do a wheel stand w/ 37s. His 1/2 mile was 14 flat i believe riding a wheel stand for a good 100 yards. now for teh good news for me so his d30 is destroyed...jus so happen i have a spare d30 housing. I am trading his teh housing for a bored out throttle body and a set of 35" mtrs. My question is how much life can i expect on a set of mtrs with about 1/2" of tread? o and well ya thats a sad story but if anyone wants to buy the jeep after he fixes it hes sellin it for 15 g's....

Post some pics of his jeep, it sounds RAD. Glad to hear your making out on the deal! Not sure on the tire life but im sure it has a lot to do on if you use it as a road driver or primarily offroad.

1/2 mile? 14 in the 1/4 is probably about right.

I can't get my POS to stand up!!!!! It pulls them up, but as soon as they lift the back tires break traction and they slam back down.Interco Super Smoker TSLs  I've only been able to play with this engine with the factory rear(3.54 ratio) that's back under it for now. Hopefully I'll be able to hang em high when I get the 4.56 gears under it.
