Scratched my roll at BAD!! Help

Removed my soft top and put it on again just learning the removal. When I went to put the soft top convertible back on I realized I was siting the cross rails that slide to the windshield against the roll bar. (Should mention I had the doors and soft top rails off, I was bare bones)

I know its too deep to buff, this is the worst spot. Any idea what to put on it to protect it until I repaint it in a few years?

I'd wet sand it and use a rattle can to paint just that piece [all the way across]

Dupli-color perfect match spray or pen. Most big box automotive stores carry or you could order from Amazon. Just check that the paint codes match
