With summer fast approaching and the top coming off I need some help. I am looking for any info on over the shoulder harness seat belts for the rear seat . I have a 5 yr old and dont really want to have her sitting up higher than the seat back in her car seat so I am thinking this is the best option. I have seen then for the front seats not the rear though.

u can get used ones out of a newer jeep on ebay pretty cheap around 50 bucks or so

Duct Tape heheheehe Sorry I guess that is my answer for all childern questions. I have spent the last 18 years wanting to tape my kids to a tree some where. hehe Check out your local Junk yard / salvage auto yard and just go window shopping. There is a ton of items on all makes of cars that can be had cheap and made to work for pennies on the dollar. Just a thought and good luck. Just glad to know your thinking safty wtith the little ones. tug

If you install the family cage style bar from a newer wrangler, you can use the factory rear shoulder belts from it too. You could weld a bar between the two downbars on your current cage that would pass from one side to the other behind the backseat, and use an aftermarket cage mounted 4 or 5 point harness.
Pay close attention to how you mount safety belts and harnesses. An improperly mounted shoulder restraint can cause spine compression(possible permanent paralysis) in a forward impact.
