Sending unit in Fuel Pump

Well I got another question, my fuel pump went out and when I got a new one put in my gas gauge jumps up and down a lot and I mean from full to half tank jumping around do I have to ait a time for it to get iteself adjusted or do I need to replace it again? Thanks

Hi,

It sounds like either the float isn't attached properly or a bad connection somewhere. Check the plug to the sensor and make sure it's a good connection. Otherwise, you may have to replace the sending unit again.

i dono how bad it is for you...but mine has floated since day one.

Well it never floated before but now it is really bad. I took it back today to get them to look at it, the unit itself still has a year of warenty left on it.
