3" springs are a little tall to be used with SOA, I'd recommend something a little lower. SOA is not cheap to do correctly, so know what you're getting into. I like mine.
 
I agree with both answers here; SOA is NOT a cheaper alternative to regular lift, so dont do it if this is the reasoning... Also, you need to do it right, and worry about axle warp and such. Third, like Bounty mentioned, look for lower springs; SOA adds significant lift, so plan ahead.
 
Just doing some research before I do it. All comments are welcome. Did the same when I did small block swap. Was told couldn't do it for under 10,000. I did it for 800. never happier I can really throw mud now. thanx for all the replies. still thinking about it
