Stock radio

My stock radio gets static when i turn on my headlights. I do have aftermarket foglights hooked up. Could they be draining power from the battery? Maybe a ground wire?

If you unplug the fog lights (or pull the fuse for them) does the static continue?

Clean the grounds to the radio, fog lights and battery. For the battery clean the opposite end of the ground where it connects to the body and engine.
This needs to be done every 3-5 years anyway depending on where you live.

Second are you running the lights off the battery through a switch and not a relay? If so check if your power line isn't running alongside the radio power or antenna.
