Stupid ball joints

here are some pics of my upper ball joint that will not come out i tried a ball joint press and as you can see i beat the crap out of it with a sledge and still it wont budge any help appreciated. also i dont see a snap ring. Please help

Looks like you need to go the otherway from the pics.

try some heat on that sucker. Put a torch to it heat it up then let it get cold, heat it up, let it get cold. and repeat. If that don't work heat it up again, if that don't work melt the bushing with torch then it should come out.

and if you find going in the right direction is not enough, get a bigger impact gun. I have found my 1/2" impact is useless with stubborn ball joints, at times, my 3/4 struggles but gets the job done.... my high torque 1" impact gun; in, out, and done like a dude loosing his virginity.

For everyones sake becareful putting heat to to the ball joint. I have seem them blow the ball stud out when heated and damn near had one go through my leg when it blew out the bottom ball joint. Damn thing burried itself 3 inches in the ground
