SYE and still having drive line vibrations?

I just finished installing the AA SYE today with a Tom Woods custom drive shaft on MY 95 YJ, my current lift is a 4" RE, 1" shackles and a 1" body lift, I just finished the RE lift yesterday and took the Jeep for a ride before the SYE and the vibrations were horrible, I thought the SYE would fix the problem but after installing it the vibrations were still pretty bad, I put the T/C lowering kit that came with my lift and that helped out a bit but I'm still getting bad vibrations betwen 35-40 miles per hour, and now it's tough to get my key out of the ingnition, if I take the T/C lowering kit out my key comes out easy but the vibrations are still bad, I can live with the key problem but these vibrations have got to go, I do most of my driving between 35-40mph, anyone have any suggestions, when I installed the lift it came with 2.5 degree shims for the rear springs, shims+sye+t/c lowering kit and I still have vibrations does this seem normal? I thought about taking off the shackles but I only want to do that as a last resort and I'm not even sure if thats going to clear up the vibrations.

Mine did the same thing. But I took out the shims then it got better. I friend of mine did the same thing and his went away too. Good Luck.

Did you get the cv style drive shaft? If so.. check to pinion to transfer case angle. The pinion should be pointed straight at the end of the transfercase. Add or remove shims to do this.

yes.. thats right... the pinion should be pointed RIGHT at the output of the Tcase, and maybe 3 degrees lower, to allow for wrap.... and WHAT does the Tcase lowering have to do with the key coming out of the ignition???????

Yeah I have the cv driveshaft, I'll try taking the shims out of the rear tomorrow to see if that works another words your saying the pinion should just be pointing straight towards the front nice and level, not slightly angled up with the shims?, I don't know what the T/C lowering kit has to do with the key coming out easier but when its not installed my ignition switch turns off nice and easy and the key pulls right out, when I lowered the case the ignition switch will not turn easily when I try to turn the jeep off, I have to push on it kind of hard to get it to turn to get the key out, I have no clue why.

My shift indicator is off, when my indicator is in drive the transmission is in nuetral, 2nd is now my drive, when I put the body lift on I had to ad an extension to my shift linkage, I'm wondering if now that the t/c is lowered my transmission shifted down a bit and thats where i'm having a problem with the indicator and my ignition, does this sound possible?

i would go to say that is your reason... i wasn't realizing that we were talking about an automatic here. if you have the SYE, you should not have to have the Tcase lowered at all
