TB help please

89 4.0 XJ Throttle Body

ok so i went on the 4.o TB hunt and came home with a 89 XJ 4.o TB which i knew when i saw it wasn't going to fit but i figure someone might need it, anyway am i right that it has to be between 91-95 to fit on my 94 if not someone let me know what years i can search through i am off to the junk yard Monday. So any help would be great.

i know that the pre 91 were NON HO, not sure if there was a difference in the throttle bodies or not, or what difference it will make in your situation, but there's my info

The Renix 4.0L engines ('87-'90) have a smaller throttle body that is slightly different in design from the high output throttle bodies, and even if it could be adapted to a HO 4.0L, I would not recommend it as it would hurt performance. The '96 and later throttle bodies have the MAP sensor mounted directly on them, but other than that I don't know of any differences.
