I decided for fabricate a set of mirror relocation brackets. I bought a new cutting tool, metal, a set of torx wrenches... A couple hours in my garage, and I now have an attractive set of brackets. I installed one only to realize that the metal is to flimsy for the weight of the mirror plus wind. So now I have ordered a pair from quadratec. All totaled I'm about $120 into a $30 part. As an added bonus, the power switch to my welder disintegrated in my hand as I was wiping tools down to put them away, so I get to order that also.
