Thinking about a shackle lift...will I need new shocks?

I have a 1983 Jeep CJ7 with 32" tires on it. The tires do not rub during normal driving, and I have not had it off road to see if they rub off road, but they look like they might. I was thinking of getting some heavy duty longer shackles to clear a little more but was wondering if I would need longer shocks. I do not plan on doing any rock crawling or hard core trail riding, just the occasional trip to the deer lease and the muddy road that that brings. its hard to say.when i did mine on my old jeep i had to get longer shocks.but i think you will have to wait and see.dont go to much more than 1" or your caster will get screwed up and it will handel weird.[addsig]

i had a 1 and half inch shackle lift for a couple of years, needed new shocks(86 cj) when i did it.........i agree with Mike though, you really dont want to get too extreme with the shackle lifts, they can make handling pretty squirrelly.....
