Hi All,
I am the proud mom to Rowdy, a 99 Cherokee 4.0L that I have had since new. Years of towing a boat has ruined her suspension, and I need new springs, shocks, and steering dampener. My hubby, who has lifted a few Ford trucks (don't go there), thinks a lift would not cost much more than the repairs she needs.
Here's where I'm looking for advice.
Thinking a 3 inch lift, because we have two pre-schoolers and this is our family vehicle. Problem: how much does a lift cost vs. the repairs? Without being cheap, we need to be financially responsible. Do I need a Black Diamond, or are there other options that cost less and are reliable?
I don't want to build a rock crawler, just something for dunes and off roading and the track in the back 15 so I won't get frame hung anymore.
Any opinions are welcome. I'm new to this whole lifting thing, but think it would be a fun spring project for Rowdy.
Thanks for any help,
Nancy
