TJ Intake Question

2000 Cherokee Classic trailer tail light

Hey guys,

Just a quick question. I'm not really looking to buy anything anytime soon as far as intake goes, but none-the-less, I was looking around at e-bay for a new intake system.

Does anyone know if the intake systems for sale on ebay, such as the one bellow, are really worth it? Are they really any worse than the other systems for sale by "name brand" companies?

Not sure about that brand. But I know that you could make one yourself for roughly the same price using a K&N cone filter. Try a google search for the homemade version. The filter would obviously be the most expensive piece.

any intake is good, i made mine out of an intake pipe from a honda civic and a cone filter and it works great hehehe

Thanks for that link! Looks like that would be a good way to go. Do you think the A/C compressor would still allow for this install to work on my TJ?

Yes, not a problem....I have a 98 Sahara with all the goodies and I didn't have any difficulties. It was a great alternative to spending big money on an "aftermarket" intake system. I took the money I saved and spent it on other mods!!
