transfer shifter rattle

I've got a 2000 Cherokee, and I've noticed that the shifter for the transfer case rattles a bit at lights and stop signs. Only when the car is in drive. if you nudge it, the rattle goes away.

Anyone else have this problem, or better yet, a fix for it?[addsig]

Sounds like you have some play in your linkeage... I would crawl underneath the beast and check for looseness in there... [addsig]

Yeah...i have the same problem with my 94 cherokee.....when it happens i just smack the handle forward and it will stop.....ive heard of this problem many a time from other people. Like erhild said, i have heard that its loose stuff in the linkage....im just too lazy to get underneath that beast. [addsig]
