Transmission problems!!!! you guys are killing me here someones go

I have been hearing a lot of clinging and clanging coming from my transmission lately and didn't really think anything of it. today it started clicking every time i shifted or put in the clutch. When i get to 3rd gear it starts shaking real bad and I have no idea whats going on since I haven't come upon a transmission problem yet. has anyone had a similar problem??? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, i had a simmilar prob. Is it hard to shift in and out of gear? and it only makes that horrible scraping clanging noise when you push the clutch in? It's either the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder. I pulled the transmission to find that it was just the clutch master cylinder. [addsig]

lotsa racket could also be a bearing somewhere in the clutch/transmission... does the noise get louder when the clutch is out?[addsig]

does it do it in neutral while sitting? does it do it in neutral while rolling?[addsig]
