Hello I don’t know if you all remember me but I did the transmission swap from a Peugeot BA 10-5 to AX-15.
The transmission swap seems fine so far, but it seems to have this very LOUD vibration nose when it reaches 3000 rpm? When I press the clutch in and bring the RPM to 3000 the nose disappears. Does anyone have any conclusions to this?

Well this could be several things....

A) it could be your throwout bearing...Did you put in a new one with your transmission?

B) Did you replace the clutch and pressure plate as well? And the flywheel...did you at least have the flywheel resurfaced?

Thats what I can think of with the info you gave. You said the noise goes away when you press in the clutch? Does it do it when driving or when just sitting in neutral?[addsig]

A) i did not put in a new throughout bearing! do you seriously think this could be it?
B) i did replace the cluth and pressure plate but not the flyweheel, i did not even remove the flywheel. why would the fly wheel vibrate at 3000RPM?
C) the only time their is no vibration is when i push in the clutch pedal, it will do it when im driving and in any gear. no matter what i do it vibrates at 3000 RPM unless i press the clutch pedal[addsig]

I´m not saying this is the problem, but it´s possible. I had a vibration at about the same RPM your talking about, turned out to be my transfer case linkage. Might also have a look at the dust shield for your bell housing. I always like to check the easy stuff first.[addsig]
